Squadron Awards

Liz Receives EAA Major Achievement Award
Liz Ellis Porter, of EAA North Georgia Warbird Squadron 17 and long time EAA supporter has received the 2000 EAA Major Achievement Award. The EAA Major Achievement Award is presented each year to those individuals whose contributions are felt to have produced outstanding benefits to sport aviation and EAA. As there are only 10 recipients from the entire ranks of EAA, this makes this a most prestigious award.

Bill Johnson has received his “50 Missions” patch for flying over 50 Young Eagles last year.

Warbird 17 gets 2nd Place in 2001 Web Editors Competition
Warbird 17 submitted its website to the EAA Web Editors competition. Of all the EAA websites out there we came in 2nd place. Not to shabby if you ask us.
