Fantasy of Flight

Fantasy of Flight Field Trip

On Sunday March 24th, several WB17 members made the  trip to Kermit Weeks Fantasy Of Flight Fly In hosted by the Florida Pilots  Association in Polk City Florida. Other than some practice and a heads up as to what Lakeland is like to land at, the trip was uneventful, weather was beautiful  and the tours were outstanding. If you have never been to FOF, it is worth the trip. Kermit has the worlds largest private collection of aircraft and related items and it is impressive. We were able to take some behind the scenes tours  and a few of us got a real cooks tour of the restoration facilities, equipment inventories, engine stockpiles, etc. A fun time was had by all.
